Hi. I finally updated the blog after a week. (:

Well, our 3rd quarter exams started yesterday. It was on Language and Science. I barely finished Language on time; it was sooo long. =))) Don't believe me? Try 13 pages as long. (;
Science; partly easy. I had a little teensy trouble in the start, but I managed. It turned out good. :]

AP and Filipino were our exams today. Filipino; partly easy too. AP; middle. (; Some lessons this quarter in AP weren't included the exams, like the departments and some of the dates in the first handout on Saligang Batas. xD

Currently studying CLE and Math for tomorrow's exams. Wish me luck! =))

Hey. (:
First post for December.

I'm back from one week [ and one day ] of being offline. =)))

Well, I guess retelling all of the week's activities, I guess I'll just start with today's festivities.

Well today, we were suppose to have 3 tests, not to mention a surprise test in Reading and an oral test in CLE. We had a Language spelling test and a Math test on PBR [ Percentage, Rate and Base ]. The other test we were supposed to have, which was in HELE, was cancelled, which was a really good thing. *thank you, Miss Uy. (:* There were tons of sewing tools to memorize. xD

Me and Sherrie were so surprised in Science when Miss Carpio told us we had to take the Science test on the periodic table today, which we were unprepared to take, during the second period of the class. Miss Carpio told us it was "the policy of the school". I only listened to about a half of the lesson because I was reviewing for the test. And guess what? Miss told us, "Sherrie and Isabelle, you just take your make-up test on Friday, dismissal time. Okay?". So much for reviewing and not listening to the new lesson. :|

During CLE, Sir Torralba let us watch this video called Bituin. It was about Christmas and Advent, which was our lesson today. Towards the end of the video, we heard laughing at the back. It was coming from Selene and Micole. Near the end of class, Sir Torralba told us that it was his 6th time to watch the video today. O_o He also told us that when he was watching the video, he noticed that the little girl in the video looked like one of our classmates. =))) We kept on pushing him for an answer. [ Of course we didn't actually push him. =)) ] He told us that he thought it looked like Sera. Well, I sort of agree. It did look like Sera. (:

After class, during Strides, we had a little quiz bee on all the lesson we took up starting from the first meeting. Whoa. IT WAS HARD. It was all about algebra. We had a team leader, Ate Chryss, a 7th grader. She was the one who most of the time answered the questions. =)))

Yes, that's all for now. Which reminds me, I have to reming Sherrie to bring her USB on Friday for computer. =)))

Gone for 3 Days.

Hi. Monday blues again. :|
Well, it wasn't deep, dark blue, just light, sky blue. =))
No classes today since it's Bonifacio Day today. (: That's what made this day less blue. =))

Wondering about the title? Well, it's true. I won't be posting for a few days. It's because my dad's taking our plug-in Internet connection because he's going on a business trip this week. Our Internet connection is just plug-in, which makes it portable. I guess it's okay. I'll just update you guys again on Friday, when I get it back. (:

Okay. Let's retell today's festivities. =))

This morning, we went to the Confirmation of one of my mom's best friend's [ basically, my tita, related to me by connections, not by blood. =)) ] son. We drove to Saint Paul College where the Confirmation was being held. My tita chose my mom to be one of the sponsors or godparents, I think. =))) In the middle of the Mass, my mom whispered to me that she [thought] she saw her cousin, my Tita Girl. =) I said, "Really? Where?". She said, "There. Diba that's her? Oh, and that's Kisses diba?". [ Kisses is my cousin. (: ]

Wouldn't you know it? She [ Tita Girl ] was there with Ate Kisses. =) My other cousin, Ate Skittles, was being confirmed too. (: What a small world. =)))

Why Skittles and Kisses, you ask?
Well, all the children in their family is named after a type of chocolate or sweet. *I think* [:
Skittles, Kisses and Toby [Toblerone]. (:

After the Confirmation, we all ate at a nearby Wendy's. =)) My little brother is so weird and sort of funny. =))) He kept on talking and jumping and more talking and even more jumping. =))) Random, like me. =))

We said goodbye to my tita [ my mom's best friend ] and her family, then went to Megamall to buy some things. I had to buy my exchange gift for our club Christmas party. I bought a red headband, red ponytails and a red gel pen. My "partner" asked for anything red. That's anything, right? =)))

Oh, and while walking, I saw my 5th grade Filipino teacher there. She didn't notice me though, and I was too shy to say Hi. =))

When I got home, I slept for awhile, did my homework, and ended up writing this blog post. =))

Word Search and Book Report.

Here's what happened the past few days.

Thursday
November 26, 2009.

As I said on my last post, we have this book report at school and I picked this book called "Are you there, God? It's me, Margaret". (: And unfortunately, the book wasn't there in the book fair. They ran out of copies. =( After class, me, my little brother and my lolo went to SM Megamall because he had to pay some bills. Our helper also came with us because my lolo said he can't handle both of us. =)))) I went to National Bookstore in the hope of finding the book and also finding a new whiteboard marker [since mine ran out of ink] and a new Math notebook [since mine was out of pages]. [: And I did find the book [and the marker and the notebook]. =))
I started reading it, and it is a nice book. [: I also did a lot of word search puzzles that day; some with Sera and Paulina and some at home. (;

Friday
November 27, 2009.

Yesterday was the last day of the book fair at school. I bought the Book 2 word search since I already had Book 1. I'm not answering it yet though. =))
In Computer, we had our project by partners. My partner was Sherrie. =)) She didn't have her research, so we had to rely on my research and I wasn't sure if all of those were actually true. =)))) I'm almost done with my pages, so I helped her with the layout, text and arrangement of her part of the project. (: It turned out pretty nice, but I think we could still make it better than it already is. :]
I also had Strides today, which is like a program for academic achievers to enhance our skills more. I was in the Math program. :]
Our topic now is Solving Age Problems using Algebra. Yes, Algebra. And it is HARD. =)))
I was partners with Rige in solving our worksheet. We were so stuck in number 1. :)))
Last night, I was really tired and I fell asleep at about 8pm. I though I'd wake up at 9 or 10pm later. The next thing I knew was that I drifted into sleepy land and I woke up this morning. =))

And here comes today. :]
I made some icons today for my profile in TG. One of them is my current Twitter pic. [:
And now I'm so bored. Waiting for my parents to go home because I think we're going out. =)

Yeah, I guess that's it. Oh, I changed my Twitter username.

Hi There. [:

Well, today I finally made a decision on what my book for our Book Report is. I'm choosing the book entitled "Are you there, God? It's me, Margaret" by Judy Blume. (: The other 4 books for us to choose were "Coraline", "A Wrinkle in Time", "From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler" and "The Story of My Life". I chose "Are you there, God? It's me, Margaret" since it sounded sort of interesting to me. :)) I would've picked "Coraline" but many people were already reading it, it had a movie, and I wanted to have a different book. I have a copy of "A Wrinkle in Time", but it wasn't that interesting and didn't really grab my attention. I still don't have a copy of my Book Report book, but I'll buy one tomorrow in our book fair. The book just arrived today. :-bd

This morning, just when the book fair opened, me and Sera each bought a word search book, which costs only P50. (: I'm on Puzzle #13 now. :]

We had our NAT review in Language and Reading again today. In Language, I got minus 1 and in Reading, I got minus 5. =)))
We also had a test in Science and Filipino. Ms. Carpio was absent in Science, so Ms. Peralta substituted for her, but the test still pushed through.

After class, I took my make-up test in Math. The first part was pretty easy, all about Partitive Proportion. Then the second part on Problem Solving was a little harder, but I finished it just in time. (:

Oh, I almost forgot. I have to bring my copy of "A Wrinkle in Time" for Paulina tomorrow. =)

Well, I have to end this post now. I have to study for our test in CLE and Reading tomorrow.

Today is Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Well, that was a really good way to start the post. 8-| xD

I'm watching this video on YouTube by VenetianPrincess. It's so funny. =))) You should really watch it. NOW. Here's a quote from the song:

Our first class was Art. I AM SO DUMB. I finished our project at home, since I was sick the last week. And of course, when I came to school this morning, I thought I could submit it to Ms. Mainit. Well, no. Come Art time, Ms. Mainit changed the directions to the project. And of course, I had to redo the cover of my ethnic box. I'm doing it right now. :))
Next was Language. We had our test on Descriptive Essay. I think I'll get a not-so-good score, since I thought my essay wasn't that descriptive. :| :))
Then came AP. Mrs. Teves told us about the Lugawan para sa Mindanao in our school. I'll go buy a ticket on Friday. Last year, the lugaw was really good, and besides, it's for a good cause, since the proceeds will be given to the schools which were destroyed in war to help them rebuild their school buildings. =)
CLE was after that. We had a game about the Stories of Hope, about Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Isaiah of the Exile. [; Our team didn't win, but my friends' [Sera and Kristel's] team won. Congratualations! =))
After lunch, Math was the next subject. We had a seatwork on Percent. It was sort of easy, but I got a bit confused in the last part. I got minus 3 in that. [:
We played volleyball in PE. Since I got sick the last week, Ms. Magno just let me sit out and help her put in the scores. It was okay, I didn't really miss anything since my group was helping Ms. Magno in the practical test of class numbers 1-10. :] The bad part was that my other friend, Karen, tripped on her shoelace and fell. =( She was brought to the clinic on a wheelchair. I hope she's okay. :)
In Reading, we had our SRA time. Ms. Luque checked our SRA books and considered us for the next reading level. My level was Red. After finishing one more story, I showed my book to Ms. Luque and she said I can move on to the Orange level. =) *grins*
In Club today, we picked our exchange gift partners. Ms. Carpio told us to write a codename and our wish [not exceeding Php 100] for the Christmas Party. =) I got this girl whose codename was TVxQ is Love and whose wish is anything red. I'm thinking of giving her a small pouch or wallet. I'll still ask my mom for some suggestions. :)

Why Did We Have to Change Seats?

Hi. [:
I came back to school today, since I was absent last Thursday and Friday. And guess what? We changed seats. My new seatmate is Jan. It was suppose to be my friend, Sera, when Mr. Torralba let us choose seats, but it was still subject to approval. And, well, my seatmate-ship [is that even a word? =)))] with Sera didn't get approved, since Sir said we were friends and doing good in class and had to be seatmates with other people to help them too. It's okay; She's just one seat diagonally from mine. =)) My column mates this quarter are Myles, Liana, Lauren, Anna, and Bernice. =) My seat's in the 5th column in the second row. :] At least, it's not to far from the board. :]

The morning classes were pretty normal; Filipino, Science and Math. In Math, we had our NAT [National Achievement Test] review. I finished it in the nick of time. :) I got 27 out of 30 there. :]

Come Quiet Time, it got a little rowdy and noisy. =))) Our class president, Kristel, and the other officers, Selene, Cathy and Micole, were reading the by-laws of the student council and asked us if we agreed or disagreed with them. Some of my classmates were not listening and then there was the shouting, the screaming, and all that noise. =))))

Then it was CLE. When the class was almost ending, Sir Torralba asked us to "make some prophecies" [sort of like predictions] about the future. There were some funny ones, like Anna's, and some deep ones like Alyssa's. =)

In Language, Ms. Ramos sang a song, and her voice was awesome. =))) No, really; Everyone clapped. :))

And the rest is history. =)))

One, Two, Three, Twenty-Seven.

Hi. I'm Isabelle. (:

Well, as you've noticed, I have another blog again. I already made about 3 blogs before, and wanted to have a new start in blogging. I've read my earlier blogs and *well, in my opinion* I sounded very childish. And out of that came the idea and making of The Plaid Popcorn Stand. =)))

Today was a very tiring and sort of boring day. This morning, we went to SM because me and my mom needed to get some things for work and school. [I needed to get some folders for my Art project] When I came home, I started right away on the project, since I was absent last Thursday and Friday and needed to catch up with the homework. I finished it about 40 minutes to 1 hour later. It's not really a "piece of art". =)))))

My parents are sleeping, and I'm staying in my grandfather and grandmother's room, supposedly doing my Computer homework, but really writing this blog entry. =)))))

Okay, I better go now. I might get toasted by my parents. :))
